EXCALIBUR AFTER SCHOOL SOCIETY
A retired Deputy Minister of Education, several teachers, a Special Needs Coordinator and other interested persons started Excalibur After School Society in March 2001. The basic program was developed over a year and the Society opened its doors to students in September 2002. The program has since evolved. The Society wants to satisfy several goals.
- To provide a top-notched after school program.
- To enable all children in our society to attend a quality after school program.
- To allow working parents a chance to re-charge after work.
- To encourage families to have more quality time together in the evening.
- To help children at risk succeed.
- To help families to effectively deal with their hyperactive children.
- To help other caretakers (nurses, teachers, day care workers etc) to effectively deal with hyperactive children.
- To guide teachers in how to control their classrooms and thereby giving each of their students a quality education.
- To encourage the public to treat these children with respect and dignity.
